Julia Mata

Julia Graeser Mata joined the office in 2025 as Principal Counsel. She advises the Lab on a broad range of state and federal environmental and land use laws, and provides strategic guidance and general legal counsel to the Lab’s various divisions. Prior to joining the Lab, Ms. Mata worked as an equity partner at the San Francisco-based environmental law firm of Barg Coffin Lewis & Trapp, LLP, where she handled complex environmental regulatory, enforcement, and litigation matters.
