Shilpani Perera

Shilpani Perera joined the Export Compliance Office in 2019 as the Chief Export Compliance Officer, where her primary responsibility is to identify export control programmatic priorities and implement best practices to mitigate export control risks. Ms. Perera provides advice, resources, education, outreach, coordination, and support for all export control regulatory compliance matters and works with a wide array of stakeholders from the U.S. federal government agencies, the University of California, and the scientific and operations divisions of the Berkeley Lab. She is a 6Sigma DMAIC/DMEDI Green Belt and formerly held FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 securities licenses. Ms. Perera previously worked at Caterpillar, Inc. and Bear Stearns, Inc.
